Timelapse. Coloring a lady sketch

Hi, friends!

This month I’m going to be sharing plenty of timelapses with you. Today I’ll show the process of coloring a lady’s figure.

The important thing is to find the color scheme and to make the arms, the torso, the hips, the shins and the portrait slightly different in color and value, so they don’t all read the same. Color-wise everything rests on the contrast of green and pink, with warmer and cooler shades added around them, but the base is one.

When you make illustrations like this, give time to the details and the joints, and keep extra detail out of the simple forms, so the eye has somewhere to rest.
