Reference packs can also be bought outright, without a subscription — they stay yours for good.

The archive is built out of lessons by the person who draws like this: figure drawing, digital painting, illustration. The same setups and the same order of work are taken apart in the lessons.

The subscription opens the whole studio. You can start for free: the weekly assignment, the work feed, uploading your own work and the first five minutes of most lessons. Basic gives you the entire video archive, the weekly assignment with a review, the stream recordings, recordings of past marathons and the Procreate brushes. Club adds the mini-courses in full, the reference packs, a review of your work on stream and a place in the marathons.
A one-off course is built like a road: a program, a schedule, a finish line, after which access usually closes. A subscription is built like a studio: you come in to work when you sit down to draw, and take what you need today. Portrait not working — open the section on hands and feet and do twenty studies of a palm. Learning to draw online usually breaks down not from a shortage of material but from the fact that after a course you’re left alone; here the material and the rhythm don’t end with the program.
A subscriber’s week looks like this. The assignment comes out, you make the piece and post it, then comes the review, which doesn’t say 'nice' but says what exactly is pulling the drawing off. Next to it are the feedback stream recordings, an hour or more, made up entirely of other people’s work with the same mistakes as yours. Someone else’s review is often more useful than your own: on your own work you defend the idea, on someone else’s you simply see the form.
If you started recently and you’re ready to hold the rhythm yourself, Basic is enough — the archive and the weekly assignment will last you months. Club makes sense once work is piling up and you want it looked at out loud: the review on stream goes through your files, not through general theory. It also includes the mini-courses and the marathon, which is what keeps many people on for a second month.
What the subscription doesn’t give you. This is not an online drawing school with a personal tutor, and not a certificate; one-on-one work is what mentorship is for. Nobody will make you do the weekly assignment, and there are no deadline reminders here. Billing runs once a month, auto-renewal is turned off from your account with one button, and access runs out the period you’ve paid for — you can leave and come back without losing anything.
Signing up is free and gives you the weekly assignment, the feed of other people’s work, uploads of your own drawings and a shot at Azat’s pick. Most of the archive lessons open the first five minutes for free — enough to see how he teaches and decide whether you want a subscription. Full recordings, mini-courses, reference packs and the marathon open with a subscription.
With Basic you watch: the whole archive, the streams, the weekly assignment with a review. Club adds what gets made for you and with other people: a review of your work on stream, the mini-courses in full, the reference packs and a place in the marathons.
Auto-renewal is turned off from your account with one button, and access works to the end of the period you’ve paid for. After that the material closes, but reference packs you bought separately stay yours. You can come back at any point and won’t have to start over.
Yes, if you’re ready to start from construction rather than from a pretty result. Watch one topic at a time and repeat it straight away: without your own drawing the recordings turn into a TV series. The first months usually go on the head and on figure sketches.
A short practical task on one specific topic — an angle, the terminator, the proportions of the figure. You make the piece and post it, and then you get a review: where the construction pulls it off and what to redo. That’s the main difference from the archive, where you’re left alone with a recording.
While you have five drawings and they are all your first, the archive and the weekly assignment will do more: mentorship is not a lesson but a review of the whole folder, and there is nothing to review yet. It is worth coming once ten to fifteen pieces have piled up, the failed ones included, and difficulties start repeating from drawing to drawing. The session looks for the pattern, not a one-off slip — and you then work through the plan back in the subscription.
Taking part in the marathon is included in the Club — it is a live run with tasks and reviews; you can also take it separately, as a plan for the run on the marathon page. Recordings of past marathons are a different thing: they sit in the archive and open already with Basic.
