Timelapse. Drawing feet

And here’s a bright timelapse of drawing feet.

I like to experiment and look for a fresh sound. With these feet it turned out that working up the detailed drawing turned into painting.

A small tip: when you work with color, switch the line art off, because its contrast pulls attention and throws your perception off in color work like this. Switch it off, lay the color in, look at how the color reads, then switch it back on.

One more tip, probably the most important one, which helped me enormously back in the day: separate neighboring masses by value — it makes the silhouettes more interesting and keeps everything from merging into one unreadable heap. Separate the pad of the big toe from the phalanx next to it, the phalanx from the metatarsus, and so on.
