About the pack216 shots

216 photos, about $3, a 744 MB archive. These are pose references gathered around movement: the body twisting, winding up, mid-step, with the weight on one leg. A separate folder is given to the portrait — the same states, but close up, with the neck working and the head tilted.

Dynamics break where the figure gets built part by part. A pose holds on the line of action and on how far the shoulder girdle and the pelvis have moved apart. If those two things are set in the first thirty seconds, you can be wrong about the forearm afterwards and the drawing will still be alive. In unstable poses the axis shows better than in a calm setup, which is what this set was shot for.

The format for this pack is gesture series. Thirty seconds per shot, twenty shots in a row, one task: the line of action and the tilt of the pelvis. After a few rounds like that, take five shots at ten minutes each and add volume while keeping the rhythm you found. Use the portrait folder for expression and for head angles in a tilt, where the neck is working instead of standing upright.

You can draw from these photos for yourself and for study. Reselling or posting the files themselves is not allowed. The download opens right after payment, access never expires, and five shots are available in the preview before you buy. The pack comes with the Club plan, and costs about $3 on its own.
