Drawing a plaster cast head

Drawing the sculpted head holds an important place in learning to draw. There’s no extra local value here the way there is on skin, because plaster is white; the hair has already been resolved artistically, the emotion is already there, and all that’s left is to get the proportions, the anatomy and the value right.
