The plus-size figure

Hi everyone! And here’s the video lesson for the third assignment of the Human Figure marathon! Today we have a wonderful model with plenty of texture to her, and it’s important to convey her forms, her silhouette and the flow of the volumes properly, and to work with value.

In the video I break all of that down using two different angles.

An important note about working with photo references: you don’t have to (and in fact shouldn’t) "quote" directly in your sketches what you see in the reference. You can add some details or, on the contrary, take them away.
