Concept art: tasks of the month
Workshop recordings set in the Fallout universe: a female character in a vault suit, a ghoul figure and a super mutant head. The whole process, uncut.

Tasks
30 August — 5 September
Character: three silhouettes
Come up with a character and draw three versions of the silhouette — filled solid black, with no details inside. The silhouettes have to differ not in small things but in proportion and mass. Pick one and explain the choice in the caption. Small size, any medium.
6–12 September
An object with a history
Draw something your character owns — a weapon, a tool, a bag — so that you can read from it how it has been used: wear, repairs, marks. Design rests on function: first decide how this thing works, and only then decorate it. One spread with two or three views.
13–19 September
The face under the helmet
A character’s head in a helmet, a mask or a hood, two angles. The form of the head has to read under whatever is put on it. The most common mistake is drawing the helmet separately from the skull. Any medium.
20–26 September
The character sheet
Put the character together as a whole: the full-length figure, the head close up, two or three details of the costume. One sheet, one scale and a shared background — that already makes a portfolio piece rather than a set of sketches. Time: the whole week.
